Green is generally used to either describe plants or oceans and many other things if it is considered purely as color.
There are various meanings and significances for the word green, however the first thing which comes to any one’s mind with the term green is the color of leaves of plants or trees. Green can also mean growth of any particular thing apart from the color of ocean, it can also indicate to any person who is not experienced, sick or jealous of someone. Green is depicted in different methods in different countries. In United States, the color green usually means the common word used for money amongst various other things.
The traffic signals also do have green color which indicates the vehicles to make a move from the place where they are stopped or stagnated. However, off late the word green is used only in terms of plants, since there is depletion of trees and greenery in the world which is even further adding to the problems faced by the environment. The green color in plants is due to the presence of a chemical which is known as chlorophyll which gives color to the leaf.
There are various other perceptions for the color other than the plants and trees, green can also be used to distinguish the nature of the person and their attributes like that of life, rebirth. Sometimes history also stated that green color was used to depict the witchcraft, evil or devil part of the person which was red in some other mythologies.
However the color green was used maximum only in relation to plants, even some of the hunters would wear green as the traditional color which will allow them to blend into the environment therefore rendering them to be undetected. Also the green color is used for the elf’s surrounding Santa Claus during Christmas.
